Fairfax Archaeology in the News!

Great piece from the Washington Post about the Civil War era road exposed recently.  Though not mentioned by name, CART members worked this project, helping reveal even more of Fairfax County’s cultural heritage. Click on the image for the story.

We are the County Archaeological Research Team, part of the Archaeology and Collections Branch, Resource Management Division, Fairfax County Park Authority. We are tasked with understanding and managing the cultural resources on Park land throughout Fairfax County.
