…and done…kind of…

We finally got to the bottom of the stone foundation at the Enyedi property.  It has been an unfortunately long time in coming due to this winter’s weather.  All we need to do is photograph and profile walls and we are done.  The picture doesn’t do it justice, but this is a well articulated stone foundation wall with interior feature fill that bottomed out about a meter below surface.  All soils are being water screened through window mesh but from the artifacts we’ve seen so far, the overlying structure seems to have come down before 1800.
