Accotink Quarter

Last year, Thunderbird Archaeology (a division of Wetland Studies and Solutions) excavated the Accotink Quarter.  This was easily one of the most important archaeological sites in Virginia.  Interpreted as the archaeological remains of an overseers house and slave quarter, the site yielded one of the largest and the best preserved collection of Colonoware from the Commonwealth.  The CRMPB now possesses this collection and is working with DAACS to get the data out to researchers. Click the picture below for a brief write up about the site.
