rain days

Just like the past years at Colchester, when it rains it floods. The units have filled with ground water after the heavy rains on Thursday and throughout the weekend.  CART will be inside this week processing artifacts and the waterscreen samples from the features that we have discovered in the Roysdon Yard.  Cataloging has begun on the artifacts recovered in the Roysdon Yard, but there are many more to still process.  Come join us at JLC for artifact washing, and sorting, or hopefully soon join us back in the field.
Jonathan 1/4″ sorts the samples from the features at JLC.  The smaller artifacts fall through the 1/4″ screen and will be picked through later to look for beads, seeds and other small artifacts.
