A few dry days

Since the weather has been dry and hot, Feature 87 has not flooded recently, so archaeologist Megan Veness makes progress on the red trench feature near Old Colchester Rd in 44FX3197.  When it rains this feature fills with water, so the dry days are welcomed.  The yellow soil at the bottom of the unit is subsoil.  This feature has artifacts ranging from dry body stoneware, and redware ceramic sherds to dark olive wine bottle fragments.
