Springtime in Colchester

Spring is finally here!  Welcome to warm weather and sunshine!  Well, we wish we could welcome continual nice weather.  Unfortunately, as you all know, we’ve been held up by rain these past few weeks.  So, since we don’t have a lot of field work updates to report, we thought this would be a good chance to let you all know precautions to take for ticks- yes, ticks!  Our warm weather nemeses.  Check out the CDC website on ticks and Lyme’s Disease, and make sure to check yourself every time you leave the field.  And if you find one in the field, take a page out of Megan’s book and make sure you cut them.  If you flick them away from you, they will just keep coming back.

But enough with the seriousness.  On with the fun!  It’s been a bummer that rain has kept us inside so much thus far this spring, but we are trying to get out in the field.  In the few moments that we are out, the overgrowth and brush tends to get in the way.  But we make due, as Megan exhibits here.

Also, we’re now doing a LAST CALL for the C.A.R.T. merchandise order!  Please get your orders into us by FRIDAY, APRIL 8 by 5 pm EST.  Click on the image below to see what the logos on the shirts and hats will look like.
