Overcoming all obstacles

Archaeologists face many challenges in the field- rain, drought, sun, vicious microscopic exoskeleton enemies, and, as our dulled trowels and clippers show, roots.  Roots, roots, and more roots plagued the team this weekend!  But have no fear!  The mightiest of mighty roots was vanquished mid-afternoon!

Chris, meet root.  Root, Chris.  Let the trash talking begin!
Hoping that the saw doesn’t break!
Maybe let’s try the shovel, too…

Chris has vanquished the mighty root that he, Megan, and volunteers had been working on all morning.  Go team!
